Artist's Comments

My class had a project together with the wood class in the school I went to in 2007/08.
We where supposed to make a jewelry and they a chair in pairs inspired by the same photo of a sculpture.
Then we showed them at Stockholm Furniture Fair.
This is my piece in brass and thread and in some places I spayed with spray paint.

It's my thought that you can wear it like you want on your part of your body. I thought a bit of the old Aztec, Maya jewelry and stuff.

very interesting, I'm curious about the texture on the metal, kind of looks like a brushed finish, but not quite. What was it done with?

I scraped with a rasp in different directions and deepts on a hammer.To make somekind of texture.
And then hammered on the plates.

cool, I did a similar texture with a rough file on a piece i might post soon. I can't decide if i wanna post it as is, or cut the side of it off and post it that way.

I would like to see that. Can't you do both? Post the piece as it is and then ask what others think you should do.
